KAYAKS ARE GO....
The boys are finally in the water, they thought it would be plain sailing but they hadn't reckoned on the pesky Totora plants! But after three days paddling they found themselves slumming it in a Castle!!!
ALL ABOARD THE YAVARI
They've arrived in Puno and the Expedition finds itself aboard the Yavari as Cho & LouPhi acclimatise to the altitude.
"Cho just told me he can not swim more than 30m but at least his nose has stopped bleeding"
No worries then...!
Our thanks to the Captain, Giselle Guldentops.
SAE AND THE TITIKAYAK EXPEDITION
It’s
official after a long absence, SAE is now working to support an expedition.
Over the last few days the Lima Club has played host to several explorers and
adventurers, including the Belgium explorer Louis-Philippe Loncke, Dadiel “Cho” Sanchez Rivera,
Peruvian adventurer and jungle expert, and adventurer, Carlos 'Conan' Muñiz.
LouPhi
and Cho intend to make a world first by Kayaking around the shoreline of Lake
Titicaca in Peru and Bolivia. They’ll be facing harsh conditions, cold
temperatures and the high altitude. They will take GPS points and photographs
of the shore and work with amphibian biologist, Dr. Kerry Krieger, to locate habitats of the endangered Lake
Titicaca Waterfrog. The adventure starts 16th August 2013 and last for 4-6
weeks.
We´d like to thank Edgar, of Edgar Adventures for his fantastic support in helping the expedition.
